The Role

We’re seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Business Development & Client Engagement Lead to help with door opening and growing our corporate client base.

You’ll focus on identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential clients and nurturing those relationships into meaningful conversations and discovery calls.

This role suits someone entrepreneurial, people-oriented, tenacious, motivated by purpose and passionate about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and employee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation:
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through LinkedIn, strategic research, email outreach, events, and calls.
  • Build genuine connections and conversations with HR, DEI, Employee Network leads and wellbeing decision-makers.
  • Create and refine sales collateral, ensuring messaging is clear and compelling.
Client Engagement:
  • Conduct initial conversations to understand client needs, challenges and priorities.
  • Schedule qualified discovery calls for the Director and support these calls.
  • Pipeline Management:
  • Log, maintain and update records in HubSpot CRM.
  • Nurture warm leads and re-engage dormant or “closed lost” opportunities.
  • Ensure a healthy, consistent pipeline to achieve lead generation targets.
Market Awareness & Brand Presence:
  • Stay up to date on DEI and employee wellbeing trends to bring fresh ideas and insight.
  • Create and share relevant LinkedIn content and engage authentically with others’ posts to build brand visibility.
  • Coordinate marketing activity across emails and social media
About You
  • Proven experience in B2B business development / lead generation, ideally selling services or training solutions. Strong track record of achieving KPIs in previous roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, consultative approach.
  • Confident using HubSpot (or similar CRM) & LinkedIn Sales Navigator to manage pipelines and spot opportunities to engage.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Passionate about inclusion, wellbeing, and work-life integration to enable employees to thrive.
  • Strategic, proactive thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and design creative solutions.
  • Bonus:
  • Existing HR/DEI/wellbeing network to tap into.
  • Experience creating LinkedIn content or email campaigns.
  • Familiar with HubSpot specifically
