Job summary

Meridian Bioscience is seeking a dynamic Life Science Territory Manager to drive sales in the EMEA North 2 region. You will manage direct accounts and support indirect channels to meet the territory's financial plan and sales objectives.

The role requires promoting molecular and immunological testing products, building customer relationships, and delivering growth through strategic execution and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Biomedical Sciences or related field.
  • 2–5 years of direct sales experience in life sciences.
  • Experience working in the EMEA North region is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve 100%+ of the Life Science sales plan for assigned territory.
  • Manage accounts and support indirect sales efforts via channels.
  • Develop territory and account strategies and provide forecasts.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to customers.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be an ambitious individual, whether an early-career sales professional looking for their next step or a recent graduate seeking to build commercial experience. You will aim to achieve the financial plan and sales objectives for the territory or accounts within the EMEA North 2 regions, as assigned by the Life Science business unit. These include several direct accounts and some support for our indirect sales activity (achieved through channels). The role holder will be responsible for implementing territory and account strategy with customers in the region, offering commercial support and technical assistance for new & existing customers in the field of molecular and immunological testing. The successful candidate will actively work within the assigned territories to maximise the market share of Meridian Life Science. They will build a pipeline of sales opportunities by promoting product growth and providing development, management and account direction throughout the assigned region.

Key Duties
  • Territory and Account Sales: Achieve 100% or greater of the Life Science sales plan
  • Responsible for achieving or exceeding the territory sales plan
  • Execute the company's marketing plan for achievement of product line sales and product launches
  • Coordinate all details relating to customer interactions at trade shows and conferences in the territory.
  • Provide monthly sales forecasts and report monthly KPI’s for field sales activity to upper management
  • Maintain industry, company, and competitive product files
  • Analyse various market segments as new product opportunities present themselves for business considerations
  • Maintain updated information on all customer contacts for our databases
  • Strategic management of territory and accounts
  • Proactive selling and growth strategy implementation to accounts in territory
  • Establish or reestablish customer relationships by proactively calling and visiting in person new or inactive accounts/prospects. Specific functions may include introducing new products, sales programs, promotions, developing proposals and contracts
  • Apply needs-based and consultative selling techniques to determine product and service needs for both new and ongoing accounts/prospects
  • Direct customer complaints, billing issues, technical/quality problems, etc. to the appropriate area within the greater organisation
  • Accountable for any other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management

Other Duties

Ability to travel locally (UK) at least 40% of the time with occasional international travel (40%)

Qualifications
  • BSc in Biomedical Sciences or related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience in direct sales within the life science industry is critical
