Job Description

Legacy Compass is a purpose-driven startup helping families and companies navigate the emotional, practical, and financial consequences of loss. We design workshops and tools that open space for meaningful conversations around legacy, caregiving, and preparation – blending emotional intelligence with practical planning.

This role is both strategic and hands‑on. You’ll help shape how we position our workshops in the UK market, identify and pursue opportunities with companies and bring structure to our growth efforts.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Work alongside the founder to define and execute our sales and partnership strategy.
  • Identify and approach target companies in legal, consulting, and B Corp sectors.
  • Coordinate and track outreach, meetings, and proposals.
  • Support the design and organisation of events, collaborations, and pilots with partners.
  • Help systematise processes and measure results (CRM, tracking dashboards, timelines).
  • Contribute creative ideas for business development and brand positioning.
  • Represent Legacy Compass in a professional, empathetic, and impact-driven way
Role Requirements
  • Has at least 3 years of experience in business development, communications, or sales (startup or small team experience preferred).
  • Is structured, organised, and proactive – able to track details and drive projects forward independently.
  • Has experience in fast‑paced environments and is comfortable with shifting priorities.
  • Possesses strong emotional intelligence and can connect with the sensitive nature of our work (grief, caregiving, legacy).
  • Is hands‑on and solution‑oriented, able to anticipate challenges and identify opportunities.
  • Communicates clearly, listens deeply, and asks the right questions.
  • Is motivated by social impact and the opportunity to contribute to a universal issue.
  • Ideally has experience with startups, social innovation, or purpose‑led organisations.
