Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a commercially minded Business Controller to support financial performance, planning and decision-making across a growing portfolio of professional services businesses in London. You will lead financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting to support decision-making at senior leadership and governance levels.

This role offers exposure to acquisitions, integration projects and business improvement in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with a hybrid London-based

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with 4+ years PQE
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis
• Deliver monthly reporting and decision-making support to management/board with clear KPIs
• Analyse trends, deviations and risk and translate findings into prioritised improvements (margin, utilisation, cost)
• Support portfolio companies in profitability, pricing, cost base and capacity utilisation
• Contribute to integration of new acquisitions: harmonise reporting, templates, definitions and governance
• Advanced Excel with experience using BI and reporting tools
• Experience in acquisitive, multi-site or decentralised organisations is advantageous
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated, highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities

Description

• Lead financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities.

Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 4+ years PQE
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis.
• Deliver monthly reporting and decision-making support to management/board, with clear KPIs and explanations
• Analyse trends, deviations and risk - and translate findings into prioritised improvement measures (margin, utilisation, cost)
• Support portfolio companies in performance dialogues: profitability, pricing, cost base and capacity utilisation
• Contribute to the integration of new acquisitions: harmonise reporting, templates, definitions and financial governance
• Advanced Excel skills with experience using BI and reporting tools.
• Experience operating within acquisitive, multi-site or decentralised organisations is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
