In Assurance, our purpose is to use insight from governance, risk and control to bring clarity so that decision makers in DVSA can make informed choices. The role holder will champion the assurance principles and values underpinning the Assurance Strategy, encouraging a positive, transparent assurance culture across the Agency. The role holder will support DVSA’s business continuity & resilience (BC&R) planning and help facilitate incident management to safeguard the Agency’s key services.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of DVSA’s BC&R Framework.
  • Provide expert BC&R advice to champions and colleagues across the Agency.
  • Lead the annual refresh of business continuity documentation and maintain the central repository.
  • Coordinate incident management arrangements, including Silver/Gold command meeting by providing secretariat duties and consolidate reporting.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to build BC&R capability across DVSA.
  • Maintain BC&R content on internal digital platforms such as SharePoint and the Intranet and assist in automating processes to enhance BC&R efficiency and reporting.
  • Draft compliance reports, post-incident reviews, and support assurance returns.
  • Assist in aligning BC&R activities with DVSA’s corporate governance framework and other mandatory requirements.
  • Represent the Senior Assurance Business Partner at internal meetings when required.
