Job description

Our exclusive client, based in Chorley, are currently recruiting for a Business / Commercial Analyst to work alongside both their accounting and purchasing team. This candidate will be the main point of contact for stock performance, retail data and stock trends both in the UK and internationally.

Duties include:
  • Analyse sales trends, customer demand, and market conditions to forecast future inventory needs and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Analyse demand and trends in the international subsidiary businesses
  • Report and predict market changes and the influence this will have on profit
  • Managing inventory and purchasing merchandise based on the customer and company’s needs
  • Maintaining stock levels to increase profitability and effectiveness
  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases
  • Generate accurate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and stock valuation on a regular basis for management review
  • Establish and maintain effective working relations with all external vendors ensuring clear and concise communication
  • Work alongside the accounts department analysing stock costing

Due to regular reporting, a strong Excel user is essential for this role (Vlookups, Pivot Tables) You must also have a naturally analytical mind, enjoy problem solving and have good communication skills (written and verbal)
