About the Role

We are seeking aBusiness Change Manager to join a Transformation team within a major public sector service. This role will drive engagement, embed new processes, and ensure the successful rollout and adoption of new systems and ways of working.

You will play a key role in ensuring user-centric design and adoption through strong engagement with all impacted groups, while mapping and validating end-to-end processes.

Key accountabilities
  • Develop and manage strategic change plans across multiple projects in a fast-paced complex operational environment.
  • Support the Business Change Lead and senior team by deputising in meetings and preparing reports and dashboards.
  • Lead workshops to assess change impact, identify stakeholder needs, and conduct training analysis.
  • Build strong relationships across the business to ensure clear communication and continuous feedback.
  • Build credibility quickly, demonstrating value-add and practical problem-solving in complex operational contexts.
  • Provide change input into key meetings, influencing at senior levels while remaining hands-on with front-line engagement.
  • Support the development and delivery of communications, engagement, and training strategies.
Key criteria
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale change within complex, multi-site organisations.
  • Experience managing change for large user groups.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with strong self-management skills.
  • The ability to quickly understand the cultural landscape and determine appropriate, effective ways to achieve results.
  • Confidence in challenging senior stakeholders and maintaining high standards across deliverables.
  • Strategic thinking capability combined with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, able to translate technical changes into user-friendly information.
  • Practical understanding of stakeholder mapping, change networks, and change impact assessments.
