The Ministry of Defence is seeking a Business Change Manager for a 6-month contract (Inside IR35). This hybrid role requires three days per week in the Andover office, with remote capability as agreed.

You will lead and coordinate all people and business change activities to implement the future operating model, managing stakeholder engagement, redeployment where required, and ensuring continuity of operations.

We support teams working in HR, Primary Health Care, Corporate Services, and many others.Job Purpose:Purpose Lead and coordinate all people and business change activities required to implement the approved future operating model, whereby caretaker responsibilities are absorbed into existing internal roles, existing contracts, or discontinued where no longer required. Deliver the change in a fair, transparent and compassionate manner while maintaining operational continuity.As a Business Change Manager, your main responsibilities will be:* Develop and maintain the Business Change Management Plan.* Undertake change impact assessments.* Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement and communications.* Ensure recognised trade unions are engaged early and throughout the project, providing meaningful opportunities to influence and inform the development and delivery of plans.* Coordinate workforce transition activities with HR, including redeployment opportunities and, where necessary, redundancy processes.* Coordinate transition arrangements for caretakers occupying tied accommodation, aligning employment exit activity with accommodation notice and eviction processes in a lawful and sensitive manner.* Develop manager guidance, training and support to equip managers to conduct difficult conversations confidently, consistently and compassionately.* Manage change risks, resistance, readiness and benefits realisation.Essential:* Practical experience delivering business transformation, with a proven track record of implementing change successfully. The successful candidate must be able to operate effectively from day one and should not require significant time to learn on the job.* Highly organised and structured, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain oversight of detail, and understand the wider strategic picture while ensuring all elements are effectively coordinated.* Strong stakeholder management skills, with demonstrable experience engaging, influencing and building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.* Strong subject-matter credibility and confidence, underpinned by significant relevant experience.
