Job description

Working closely with the Head of Business Change and Projects, and the Business Change Project Managers, you will have the responsibility for supporting the successful planning and delivery of major firm‑wide projects and change initiatives. You will collaborate with colleagues at all levels and in all areas of the firm. This is an exciting new role for a "can‑do" person keen to make an impact from day one!

Purpose

Understanding Business Objectives: Seek, develop, and help implement strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity with people and best practice in mind. You will achieve this by working with stakeholders to understand Birketts’ goals and objectives while analysing the business environment, industry trends and internal processes to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of major firm‑wide projects and change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to embed project outcomes and promote new ways of working and thinking.
  • Gather and analyse business requirements, validating them against business strategy, people requirements and processes.
  • Document current and future business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including legal teams and Business Services.
  • Work directly with the Business Change Project Manager and, where required, the IT Business Analyst to support stakeholders throughout the project life‑cycle.
  • Utilise data analysis to provide insights that support decision‑making during the creation of proposals, business cases and post‑implementation reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain internal and external documentation and support the creation of Project Proposals and Business Cases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or a Business Analyst at Level 4 qualification with ideally 2+ years of experience.
  • High proficiency in process modelling such as UML and BPMN.
  • Proven ability to manage change projects and coordinate multiple parties at differing levels of the business.
  • Experience with data visualisation and analytics.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant tools, including Visio, Lucid Chart, Jira or similar.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
