Job description

This is a great opportunity for students studying a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics subject or Finance, Economics with a strong inclination towards FinTech/Technology to apply their skills to a business‑related role. During the recruitment process we will get to know your skills and interests and how they align with the needs of the business to place you in your first rotation. As a graduate you can expect exposure across:

  • Financial Risk teams, which involves monitoring and analysing risks, and interpreting data in readiness for the delivery of risk projects or reporting.
  • Or supporting our existing products! Contributing towards researching, tracking, and testing content and user interface of online products.
  • Or research analysis into global markets which could have a focus on debt listings, valuations, and shareholder and geographic analysis.

To be eligible you must be a graduate studying a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline, who has completed your studies in 2025 or is a final‑year undergraduate or Master's student and has completed all the requirements of your qualification before September 2026.

  • You should have a demonstrable interest in financial markets, which you've built through your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities.
  • Competent and comfortable with large data sets and able to code in the relevant languages (Python, SQL) or an understanding of tools like Tableau, Power BI.
  • A curiosity for data and an ability to analyse information to draw conclusions and propose solutions.
  • Individuals who are able to connect the dots and think strategically.
  • The environment we work in is fast‑paced; you'll need to demonstrate focus, resilience and the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • People who can collaborate with others, using their strong communication skills in the process.
  • Studying a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline or Finance, Economics with a strong inclination towards FinTech/Technology.

What we are looking for,

  • The next stage of the application process is an untimed Immersive Online Assessment. The assessment is designed to give you an insight into what it’s like to work at LSEG.
  • The second stage is a video interview where you will answer a series of questions using a strength‑based interview style.
  • The final stage is a half‑day assessment centre which involves several different types of exercises – further information is provided at the point of invite.
