Rate: £450 per day (flexible)
Contract: 6 months initially, full-time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to join a leading organisation on a 6-month contract. This role focuses on supporting finance and accounting processes, driving business change, and delivering technology-enabled solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working with finance teams, strong knowledge of financial operations and accounting procedures, and exposure to compliance frameworks such as Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) . This is not a generic Financial Services BA role – we are looking for someone with practical corporate finance experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and deliver finance‑related business solutions.
  • Shape and document business requirements within agile or waterfall frameworks.
  • Facilitate workshops to analyse processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop functional and non‑functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support project delivery, including business cases, work plans, and stakeholder communication.
  • Promote innovation and align technology solutions with business capabilities.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within finance or accounting environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and systems; SOX compliance experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders, build consensus, and communicate effectively.
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, process mapping, and change management.
  • Familiarity with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
