A leading real estate business is seeking a Business Analyst to join their Technology team in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will have experience working within Agile frameworks and possess strong skills in stakeholder engagement and technology requirements analysis. Job description

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Technology team within Connells Group. As a member of a Scrum team, you will need a unique blend of technical skills, business knowledge, and interpersonal skills that enable you to effectively analyse, communicate, and collaborate across these agile, cross-functional, business aligned teams with a particular focus on our Central Functions such a People Services, Finance and other Operational Support Functions.

We offer hybrid working arrangement with 1 or 2 days per week in our Milton Keynes office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions, coordinating delivery across internal and external teams as well as 3rd Party Vendors
  • Own the analysis and understanding of the technology requirements for the business area they support. Use different techniques such as interviews, surveys, and workshops to facilitate this.
  • Support the Product Owner and Head of Technology with Product Backlog grooming. This involves organizing ensuring that it is clear and concise, and aligned with the objectives of the business area they support and are able to be prioritised with appropriate context and information.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers, participate in sprint planning sessions and daily stand up meetings, provide guidance on requirement and updates on any issues encountered.
  • Play a part in coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) activities. This involves defining test scenarios, coordinating with end-users, and conducting UAT sessions.
  • Support various agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and demonstrations.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and technical resources.

Experience & skills required:

  • Experience in working as an Agile Business Analyst as part of a fast-paced software engineering team.
  • Background in delivery of successful technology initiatives in customer facing industries.
  • Understanding of and experience of Scrum.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira Software and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with business operations and support systems, such as those used in Finance, People Services, or IT Service Management (e.g., ServiceNow) is essential.
