Overview

Business Analyst – Professional Services | Private Equity | 12 Month FTC

Kinbrook is seeking an experienced Business Analyst who plays a pivotal role in bridging business objectives and technology delivery across our accounting and wealth management group. Working closely with Finance, Client Services, and IT functions, the Business Analyst ensures that technology initiatives — such as CRM, ERP, and client reporting system implementations — are aligned with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency goals.

This role focuses on gathering, analysing, and translating business requirements into clear, actionable specifications that deliver measurable value and enhance the client experience. It’s a unique opportunity to shape and deliver impactful projects across a diverse group of businesses within our private equity portfolio, including wealth management, accountancy, legal services, and advisory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with finance, compliance, and operational leaders to define and document business requirements for new systems, integrations, and process improvements.
  • Translate complex regulatory and operational needs into functional and technical specifications for developers and vendors.
  • Partner with project managers to define scope, deliverables, and success criteria for accounting, CRM, and client service technology initiatives.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit and validate business requirements across multiple service lines.
  • Support the design of solutions ensuring alignment with audit, financial reporting, and compliance obligations.
  • Document business process flows, data mappings, and system interfaces for core systems such as Microsoft Business Central, Intapp, and CRM tools.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) including the creation of test scripts, coordination of testing cycles, and resolution tracking.
  • Develop user guides and operational documentation to support implementation and post-launch adoption.
  • Contribute to business case development and benefit realisation tracking for system investments.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance automation across finance, client onboarding, and reporting workflows.
About You

We’re looking for a proven BA, with extensive experience working within financial services, accounting, or wealth management environments. To succeed, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Experience documenting business and functional requirements for ERP, CRM, or portfolio management systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting processes (e.g. FCA, AML, client due diligence).
  • Exposure to system implementations such as Microsoft Dynamics, Intapp, or CCH/Business Central.
  • Relevant certification (e.g. BCS Diploma in Business Analysis, IIBA CBAP, Agile BA) preferred.
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret financial and operational data.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement abilities across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to develop clear business cases and quantify expected ROI for system initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, producing clear documentation for executive and operational teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Curiosity and drive to understand evolving financial technology trends
Technical Skills
  • Understanding of accounting systems, data structures, and integration concepts.
  • Experience with requirements and modelling tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Jira, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of data governance, information security, and architecture standards relevant to financial systems.
  • Familiarity with SQL or reporting tools for validating data and reports.
  • Proficiency in documenting workflows, acceptance criteria, and system interfaces.

Please note, this position will be offered as an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with a view to transitioning into a permanent role.
