Responsibilities
  • Investigating, understanding and capturing requirements: Work with the feature team to present and support the build and implementation of requirements. This may involve internal teams or partners who are third parties.
  • Contribute to the team and produce the right outcomes: Work with other Business Analysts to deliver the right outputs and step in where necessary.
  • Unblock problems and issues: Identify solutions to problems the team may encounter and facilitate implementation.
  • Prioritisation: Help prioritise work when demand exceeds supply, using creative approaches to enable completion.
  • Be an active contributor in the Business Analysis community: Participate in the wider Business Analysis team, support the Head of Business Analysis and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder management: Build relationships with peers and stakeholders and influence them to achieve positive outcomes in Business Analysis.
Qualifications
  • Technology skills: Good understanding of technology, comfortable in a tech team, familiar with architecture terminology, broad experience of key industry software, adept at analysing data, and comfortable with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Understanding of business processes: Ability to analyse and document current processes, identify optimisation opportunities, and implement transformation. Familiar with financial services products and practices.
  • Research and critical‑thinking skills: Take a problem, consider multiple outcomes, research options, and present findings effectively to the intended audience.
  • People skills: Ability to interact with people at many levels, understand how they think, and what motivates them to determine analysis outcomes.
  • Communication skills: Listen well, communicate at the right level of detail, frequency and style, and negotiate effectively.
  • Business Analysis skills: Master formal business analysis techniques, investigate, analyse, visualise, articulate, and solve problems; ensure solutions align with the vision of M&G and stay abreast of market trends.
  • Can‑do attitude: Willingness to find solutions, overcome obstacles, and roll up sleeves to get the job done.
