Job description

As part of our Transport Operations team, you will work with project managers, product owners, developers, test teams and support staff, to ensure that software requirements and business processes are clearly described, understood, and delivered. You will devise new ways for our products to support our customers, and ensure that our solutions and projects are delivered successfully. Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Engaging customers and other stakeholders to understand and document how they work, including occasional site visits when needed.
  • Documentation and modelling of business activities and data.
  • Definition and management of detailed software requirements. This includes working within project delivery teams, and responding to change requests to existing products.
  • Dissect customer tenders and preparing compelling bids responses.
  • Carrying out gap analysis and describing business change activities.
  • Preparing documentation, including use cases, functional designs, epics, user stories, data models, etc.
  • Involvement in customer UAT support & demonstrations.
  • Contribution to defining future product strategy and roadmaps with stakeholders and prioritise the work items accordingly.
    You are team oriented but can also work independently.
  • You demonstrate a high degree of independence and self-motivation.
  • You communicate complex procedures to clients and colleagues.
  • You build trust with our customers over time, encouraging future opportunities to work with them based on your integrity and delivery record.
  • Experience in business analysis and/or a related software development field.
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbally and in writing, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and levels of understanding.
  • Fluent in English, oral and written.
  • Essential: a degree, or level 4-6 apprenticeship, or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Desired: BCS Business Analysis Foundation certificate, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Nice to Have Knowledge of transport operations processes and IT systems.
