Job summary

VIQU IT, partnering with an NHS organisation, seeks a skilled Business Analyst for a two-month initial contract in Cardiff. This hybrid role offers a daily rate of £300 to £325 inside IR35, with the aim of delivering measurable improvements across digital, data and business transformation initiatives.

You will lead discovery workshops, capture and validate requirements, map processes and support Agile teams from backlog refinement through delivery, ensuring solutions align with business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in digital transformation, data and technology programmes.
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and gap analysis experience.
• Able to facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with user stories and backlog management.
• Bridge business and technical teams by translating complex requirements into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder sessions to understand business needs and opportunities for improvement.
• Gather, document and validate business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for digital transformation, automation and service improvement.
• Produce BA artefacts including user stories, process maps, gap analyses and BRDs.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate requirements into scalable digital solutions.
• Support Agile teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing and implementation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, working across digital transformation, data and technology programmes.
• Strong requirements gathering, business process mapping and gap analysis experience.
• Demonstrable experience facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments, including user story development and backlog management.
• Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams, translating complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, workflow automation and business process improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Power BI, Azure and related digital solutions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently across multiple workstreams.
