Position Description

Business Analyst – Digital Transformation. At CGI, we empower our clients to reimagine public services through digital innovation that delivers measurable impact.

As a Business Analyst on a major Northern Ireland public sector transformation programme, you will shape smarter, more efficient digital solutions that improve services for citizens and drive real organisational change. You will work within a multidisciplinary Agile team where collaboration, ownership, and creativity are at the heart of everything we do.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will take the lead in analysing, defining, and documenting business and data requirements that underpin a major digital transformation across the public sector. Working closely with Product Owners, data specialists, and technical delivery teams, you will ensure each solution delivers tangible value and aligns with strategic goals. You will play a key role in stakeholder engagement, shaping user stories, and supporting the design of practical, user-centred digital services that drive long-term improvement.

Key responsibilities
  • Analyse & Define: Capture, document, and validate business and data requirements to inform solution design.
  • Collaborate & Deliver: Work with Product Owners and Agile teams to refine JIRA user stories and support sprint delivery.
  • Engage & Facilitate: Lead workshops, interviews, and feedback sessions to align stakeholders and clarify needs.
  • Design & Validate: Translate business requirements into structured specifications and support data model analysis.
  • Optimise & Improve: Apply Agile analysis techniques to promote continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes.
  • Assure & Support: Contribute to peer reviews and maintain consistent, traceable analysis artefacts.
