About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our growing IT Change team. In this role, you'll be working with a team of Project Managers, a Senior Business Analyst and an Implementation Coordinator, and you will be directly reporting to our IT Head of Change. The role is far‑reaching, working with all people and at all levels, throughout the business. Our ideal candidate will be responsible and have experience of analysing business processes and data, developing insights into problems and opportunities to advance the company, and communicating technical information and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of existing systems, processes, and data to obtain a deep understanding of their functionality and fit within the business
  • Capture and analyse requirements and create appropriate technical specifications for handing over to developers and project managers
  • Develop insights into business operations and communicate technical information and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Work with company leaders and stakeholders to help them solve problems or meet goals
  • Creation of accurate documentation including business cases, impact assessments, process maps, data flow diagrams, entity‑relationship diagrams, etc
  • Creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for key functions and system use
  • Engage with the business on projects and requests for change to gather functional and non‑functional requirements
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers and business stakeholders to remove points of ambiguity in solution designs
  • Analyse and document the security models and access controls
  • Identify and design opportunities to improve processes and features of existing systems including their integration with other tools and applications
  • Ensure change is tightly controlled and follows our IT Change policies and best practices
  • Identify pain points and provide ideas on eliminating them, either through system development, process changes or training
  • Contribute to the architecture review boards, request for change process and project management office as required
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and best practices
  • Experience in analysing data using software and drafting reports
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act as the interface between business stakeholders and IT colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • IT literate with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Solid understanding of data governance principles and information security management
  • Proactive and self‑managing
  • Gained related professional certifications or qualifications

Job Details

The opportunity is a full‑time, permanent role with 37.5 working hours and we operate a hybrid working environment. The hours of work would be 8.45am till 5.15pm Monday - Friday, based out of our Ashby de la Zouch office.
