Job summary

Ambition Europe Limited in Manchester seeks an experienced Business Advisory Manager to support owners and directors through financial restructuring and HMRC engagements. The role focuses on VAT, PAYE, NI arrears, cash-flow solutions, and broader advisory work within a specialist team.

You will collaborate with internal teams on complex assignments, providing cash‑flow modelling and P&L analyses while aiming to stabilise client businesses and deliver practical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in business advisory, restructuring, or turnaround services.
• Strong ability to prepare cash-flow forecasts, P&Ls, and financial models.
• Confidence dealing directly with business owners, directors, and HMRC.
• Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised, with strong planning skills and multi-case management.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build internal and external relationships.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• An accountancy qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with distressed and underperforming businesses, supporting owners and directors through HMRC engagement, cash-flow solutions, and wider financial restructuring.

The role sits within a specialist advisory team with a strong track record of supporting businesses facing financial challenges, particularly those with VAT, PAYE, and National Insurance arrears. You will work closely with internal restructuring, funding, legal, and business services teams, gaining exposure to complex, commercially focused assignments while helping businesses stabilise and recover.
