We are a dedicated charity supporting unpaid adult carers in Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands, and were seeking a Business Administrator to help drive our operations forward.

Location: Dochas Carers Centre, Lochgilphead

Contract/hours: Permanent contract, 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £15.52 per hour, annual FTE £28,246

About the Role

As our Business Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our charity’s operations. You'll work closely with our Centre Manager to ensure the charity is efficient, compliant, and ready to grow. From managing records and supporting HR functions, to assisting with project coordination and office administration, your work will underpin everything we do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Centre Manager
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data protection compliance.
  • Support HR functions, including recruitment administration and onboarding.
  • Assist with financial processes such as invoicing, petty cash, and expense tracking.
  • Support meetings, prepare agendas and take minutes.
  • Help streamline systems and improve organisational efficiency.
About You

You’ll be a confident communicator with a strong eye for detail and a genuine desire to support a charity’s mission. Experience in a similar administrative role is essential, ideally within the charity, health, or social care sectors.

You will bring
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, CRM systems, etc.).
  • Experience with financial processes (e.g., petty cash, invoicing, budgets).
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently.
