Butler's Bus is seeking a School Van Monitor to assist with student transportation, ensuring safe entry/exit, belt use and proper seating. The role offers 20-25 hours per week and $18.00 per hour, plus paid training and benefits.

You will help keep children safe on routes and participate in on-the-job instruction to meet company standards. Responsibilities include supervising student behavior, communicating with staff, and using the two-way radio to coordinate with drivers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Clear English communication (spoken and written).

Responsabilités

• Safely assist students as needed, helping them enter and exit the vehicle and secure them with lap/shoulder belts.
• Monitor student behavior and provide appropriate guidance and direction.
• Report unsafe or inappropriate student behavior to management and follow corrective steps as assigned.
• Must communicate effectively in English with students, parents, teachers and Butler's Bus staff.
• Demonstrate effective use of Butler's Bus two-way radio system.
• Have the physical capability to install car seats and booster seats and follow supervisor directions.
• Show willingness to work with school age children, including those with special needs.

What We Offer:

• $18.00 an hour
• Split Shifts- 5:30am-9:00am & 1:00pm-5:00pm (example only, exact hours depend on assigned route)

Requirements

• At least 18 years or older
• Ability to pass a background check, CORI/SORI, drug screen
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken and written)

What You’ll Be doing:

• Safely assist students as needed. This includes helping them enter and exit the vehicle, using the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belts, and safely securing them in car seats and booster seats. Lifting may be required.
• Monitor student behavior to provide appropriate guidance, feedback, and direction when necessary.
• Report unsafe and inappropriate student behavior to management; follow directions and implement corrective steps as assigned.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly in (English) with students, parents, teachers, and Butler's Bus staff.
• Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills while using Butler's Bus two-way radio system.
• Must have the physical capability to safely install car seats and booster seats. Must be able to follow written and verbal directions and instructions from supervisors.
• Must demonstrate a willingness to work effectively with school age children with special needs.
