South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking a Procurement Evaluator to work with specialist colleagues and senior stakeholders to assess complex operator submissions against evaluation criteria, delivering robust, objective evaluation and clear scoring commentary.

You will participate in moderation, identify risks and opportunities, ensure compliance with procurement regulations, and maintain confidentiality throughout the process, contributing to governance and high professional

Location: Sheffield (hybrid role – Remote for Evaluation / On‑Site for Moderation)
Hours: 37 hours
Salary: Grade 7 £35,929–£38,737

About the role

As a Procurement Evaluator, you will work alongside specialist colleagues and senior stakeholders to assess complex operator submissions against defined evaluation criteria. You will undertake robust and objective evaluation of procurement submissions, review evidence, prepare scoring commentary and evaluation reports, participate in moderation and consensus meetings, identify risks and opportunities, ensure compliance with procurement regulations and governance, and maintain confidentiality throughout the process.
