Job summary

A leading public transport provider is seeking a Day Fitter to conduct maintenance, inspections, and repairs on their bus fleet located in Bootle. The ideal candidate will have a recognized qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and experience in a similar environment. Responsibilities include performing scheduled maintenance, diagnosing faults, and ensuring the fleet's operational efficiency. This is a full-time position, requiring a strong commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a heavy vehicle fitter, preferably within a bus or coach operating environment.
• A full UK Driving Licence is essential; a PCV (Category D) licence is highly desirable.
• A commitment to health and safety and delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on fleet buses.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Conduct repairs on engines, gearboxes, and electrical systems.
