Bursar East Kent

Location: East Kent – including Canterbury, Thanet, Dover, Whitstable/Herne Bay, Folkestone, and Hythe.

Academics in Canterbury are working with a number of successful and supportive schools across East Kent who are seeking experienced and motivated Bursars to take a lead role in the financial efficiency and business operations of their settings.

What you’ll do as a Bursar:
  • Manage school budgets, financial planning, and reporting to ensure strong fiscal performance
  • Oversee procurement, purchasing, and supplier relationships to maximise value for money
  • Support payroll and HR administration, maintaining accurate records and compliance
  • Ensure finance systems, policies, audits, and safeguarding processes are fully adhered to
  • Work with the Senior Leadership Team to support operational and financial decision-making
  • Provide guidance and support to school administrative teams
