Job summary

A leading university in the UK is seeking a proactive Technician Demonstrator in Built Environment. This role requires support for civil engineering and construction management programmes, focusing on health and safety in a practical environment. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, supervise students, and maintain safety standards in laboratory sessions. This full-time role offers a salary range of £29,588 to £33,951 per year.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate and demonstrate the use of equipment in construction and civil engineering.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations including risk assessments.
  • Attention to detail to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support in setting up and clearing experiments.
  • Supervise students during technical experiments.
  • Prepare and deliver specialist workshops to students.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure health and safety compliance.
