Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant to join our Security Advisory Team in London. A Built Asset Security Advisor will advise clients, architects, engineers, suppliers and project managers on managing security risk across capital programmes in life sciences, defence, datacentre and infrastructure.

• Experience as a subject matter expert within major projects/programmes.

Job Description

Turner and Townsend are actively recruiting for a Senior or Principal Consultant to work within our Security Advisory Team. If you a security professional with a passion for working on the world’s most impactful programmes, a Built Asset Security Advisor role may be just for you.

We are looking for experienced individuals with a range of skills across cyber, security in the built environment, physical security, supply chain security and security delivery to join us in our growing Built Asset Security team.

As a Built Asset Security Advisor, you will be advising clients, architects, engineers, suppliers and project managers on the best approaches to manage security risk in capital programmes across a range of sectors including life sciences, defence, datacentre and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Review the security elements of capital programmes to ensure design meets the client’s requirement.
• Define, document and assure security elements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Review and assure architecture, design and implementation to identify threats & risks.
• Offer clear, structured guidance and advice to strengthen security.
• Take part in design assurance sessions to identify, manage and mitigate security risks.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate technical information into actionable business language for communications with key stakeholders
• Experience as a subject matter expert within major projects/programmes
• Experience in the design of counter terrorism and crime prevention measures in the built environment
• Demonstrable security experience or security qualifications applicable to your area of expertise
• Must hold, have held or be eligible for UK National Security Clearance (link to vetting info)

Desirable Skills

• Qualifications at L5 or above in related security fields e.g. BSc, MSc, CSMP, ISO-19650-5, PSP
• Understanding of the RIBA plan of work and the delivery of security within the built environment
• Previous consulting experience, and/or previous experience in managing security in major capital programmes
• Experience in one of Turner & Townsend’s key sectors - Sectors | Turner & Townsend
