Job summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to service HVAC systems, chillers, pumps and air handling units across client sites. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, coordinate safety procedures, and keep accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• ITE Certificate in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.

• Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC, chillers, pumps, fan coils, AHUs and controls.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and emergency power.
• Respond to service requests and breakdowns; diagnose faults and implement fixes.
• Carry out routine mechanical work: pump seals, valves, lubrication, piping checks.
• Execute safety checks for emergency systems and coordinate major repairs.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, parts inventory usage, and prepare work reports.
• Follow permit-to-work, lockout/tagout procedures; maintain a tidy work area.

Key Responsibilities

• a. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC, chillers, pumps, fan coils, air handling units, and associated controls.
• b. Inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems: distribution panels, lighting, wiring, circuit breakers and emergency power systems.
• c. Respond to service requests and emergency breakdowns; diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• d. Carry out routine mechanical works: pump seals, valves, lubrication, piping checks and minor fabrications.
• e. Execute safety checks for emergency systems (fire pumps, generators, emergency lighting) and coordinate with contractors for major repairs.
• f. Keep accurate maintenance records, parts inventory usage, and prepare work reports.
• g. Follow permit-to-work, lockout/tagout and safe work procedures; maintain a clean, tidy work area.

Requirements
