Job summary

A renowned property recruitment firm is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor for a successful firm of chartered surveyors in Devon and Torbay. The role involves conducting pre-purchase and professional surveys as well as contract administration work, primarily with historic and listed buildings. Candidates with MRICS qualifications and experience in surveys will be prioritized, along with local knowledge in the Dorset/Somerset/Devon area. A unique opportunity for upward mobility to a Director position is available.

Qualifications

• Must hold MRICS or equivalent.
• Experience with pre-purchase building surveys is essential.
• Preferably have knowledge of Computer Aided Design.

Role Summary

A successful firm of chartered surveyors with an established local presence have recently instructed Beach Baker to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor within their busy office. This company, established 15-years ago, specialise in the residential and commercial sectors but principally working with historic / listed buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-purchase surveys and professional surveys with contract administration work
• Undertake pre-purchase building surveys and home buyer survey and valuations
• Working with traditional construction and conservation on historic / listed buildings

Qualifications

• MRICS or equivalent professional membership
• Experience of undertaking pre-purchase building surveys and home buyer survey and valuations
• Experience with Computer Aided Design is preferable
• Local knowledge and contacts especially in Dorset /Somerset / Devon area (relocating candidates considered)
