Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd is hiring a Building Surveyor for the South East England region. The role focuses on reinstatement of buildings after insured events, requiring coordination with homeowners, contractors and loss adjusters to deliver on time and within budget.

You will work across home, site and office settings, with opportunities to progress towards chartered status and gain specialist training through Sedgwick University.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with loss adjusters, homeowners and contractors.
• Full UK Driving Licence to attend appointments.
• Knowledge of building construction and repair demonstrated through experience.
• MRICS/MCIOB or working towards chartership.
• Surveying experience in Buildings Insurance sector.
• Experience with schedules of rates and contractor networks.
• Familiarity with forms of building contract.

Responsibilities

• Reinstatement of buildings affected by events (fire, flood, water loss, impact).
• Interact with homeowners, loss adjusters, builders and other professionals to complete projects.
• Produce technical reports on building matters and assess costs and quotations.
• Act as contract administrator and manage time/budget for projects.
• Help shape projects with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.
