Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking a Building Surveyor for a contract role based in Somerset. Typical hours are 8am-5pm, and you will conduct planned maintenance surveys in a social housing setting.

You will advise on building regulations and health & safety, write technical reports, and liaise with tenants, contractors and internal teams to ensure works are completed safely and to the required standards.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting Kitchen, Bathroom, roofing, window and cyclical maintenance surveys in a social housing setting.
• Qualifications or experience in building surveying.
• Knowledge of upcoming building surveying legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out technical planned maintenance surveys in a social housing setting.
• Provide technical advice and ensure compliance with building regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Build strong working relationships with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Write up technical reports with recommendations for completing works.
