Job summary

The Oyster Partnership is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to support repair, maintenance and improvement projects across Council properties in Surrey. You will lead projects from survey to completion, drafting specifications and schedules while maintaining strong working relationships with contractors.

This role requires a degree (essential) with desirable RICS/CIOB membership, a solid grasp of CDM and H&S regulations, and excellent written, verbal and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Experience managing building projects end-to-end.
• Knowledge of building construction, defects and maintenance.
• Familiarity with JCT contracts.
• Working knowledge of building services installations.
• Excellent written, verbal and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial survey through to completion.
• Produce specifications, schedules and reports.
• Provide contract administration and monitor contractor performance.
• Ensure CDM and H&S compliance.
• Advise internal teams on technical matters.
