Role Overview

Building Surveyor - Damp and Mould (Career Grade)

Career Grade G-D: £26,824 to £46,142 per annum

Salary on appointment depending on qualifications and experience

Permanent post

37 hours per week

We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join our experienced team on a permanent basis. Our work involves specifying and managing works for the Council’s housing stock and providing aids and adaptations for tenants. It also involves work to our corporate and commercial premises including many buildings in conservation areas and several of regional and national importance. We are involved with fire safety measures and HHSRS risks and solutions, underpinned by our Climate Emergency priorities, ensuring our buildings are energy efficient and our tenants’ homes are warm and safe.

Key Responsibilities

Specify and manage works for the Council’s housing stock and provide aids and adaptations for tenants.

Work on corporate and commercial premises, including historic buildings in conservation areas and buildings of regional and national importance.

Implement fire safety measures and HHSRS risk assessments and solutions, aligning with climate emergency priorities.

Work predominantly from home, with a requirement to attend meetings at Warwick district offices or sites as required.

Working Time and Arrangement

37 hours per week, with a flexible blend of on‑site, home, or hybrid working. Home working is offered, but the successful candidate must attend the Warwick district offices or sites when required, and travel costs from home to office are the candidate’s responsibility.

Eligibility & Experience

Experience with building surveying for council housing stock, historic properties, fire safety, HHSRS risk assessment, and climate emergency measures is an advantage.
