Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Building Surveyor for a contract role in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will work with a public sector client and manage various repair projects. The rate offered is £22.78/hour PAYE or £29/hour Umbrella (Inside IR35).

Building Surveyor

Portsmouth

Contract role - 6-month contract initially

Rate - 22.78 / hour PAYE OR 29 / hour Umbrella (Inside IR35)

Public Sector Client

A Building Surveyor is required to join a public sector client on a 6-month minimum contract in Portsmouth. As a Building Surveyor, you will be working as part of a building repairs team supporting the Building Repairs Manager. You will be predominantly site based or working in the office between appointments. Responsibilities include:

• Surveying assets
• Updating stock data
• Evaluating and diagnosing what work is required
• Assessing the best options to carry out the work
• Issuing repairs
• Managing a varied range of planned repairs projects

The successful candidate will be educated to degree-level in Building Surveying, or have significant equivalent experience in the industry, have significant experience in construction, planned, cyclical and responsive repairs or small improvement projects, and have advanced knowledge in contract management, project management, and H&S requirements.
