Overview

A niche consultancy practice operating at the highest level across a variety of sectors. They act for a wide variety of clients including asset managers, charities, tier one institutions, livery companies, private clients and family offices. Their work is generated exclusively through a foundation of trusted, second‑generation repeat private clients. This loyalty is a direct result of the Director’s 20+ year commitment to building and maintaining strong relationships.

Role

They are looking for a self‑motivated, conscientious and eloquent building surveyor to join them and play a formative role in continuing their successful delivery of project & technical consultancy. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work in and shape a growing company!

Responsibilities / Scope

Ideally, you will have building surveying/project management experience in the UK across the full skillset including:

  • Employer’s Agent/Contract Administrator
  • Project delivery
  • Project monitoring

Full range of building consultancy services including technical due diligence, condition surveys, defects analysis, reinstatement cost assessments, party walls & neighbourly matters and dilapidations.

Project values range between £500k - £20M.

Requirements for the Building Surveyor
  • Chartered or ambition to become qualified (MRICS)
  • Degree qualified – within a construction related discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience with a UK‑based property / construction consultancy (ideally)
  • JCT contract administration
  • Experience in one of their listed sectors (ideally)
  • Excellent core building surveying and project management skills
  • Switched on attitude with a positive work ethic
