  • Public Sector - Local Authority
  • Temporary Role - to end of Feb 2026 (possible extension - TBC)
  • Full Time - Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
  • Hybrid Working - mostly site based but some home working may be available
  • 420 per day Umbrella
  • ASAP Start
About the Role

You’ll play a key role in assessing building conditions, diagnosing defects, and recommending solutions to maintain and improve housing stock. This includes carrying out detailed property surveys, producing technical reports, and supporting the development of annual and multi-year capital programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys and inspections of housing assets.
  • Prepare schedules of condition, scopes of work, and technical drawings.
  • Advise on building pathology and remedial solutions.
  • Manage caseloads and liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and building regulations.
About You
  • Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent, with at least 4 years' post-graduate experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building defects, legislation, and housing standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and asset management systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
  • Experience in social housing and HHSRS surveys.
  • Familiarity with Apex/NEC asset management systems.
