Job summary

A leading resource management firm in Cardiff is seeking a Building Surveyor to manage asset condition surveys, report using the company's system, and support maintenance planning. Candidates should have an HND/HNC in a relevant field, proven surveying experience, and a valid driving license. Strong communication skills and knowledge of building regulations are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building condition surveying.
• Valid DBS, PTS, and STE5 competencies from Day One.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage asset condition surveys to required standards and deadlines.
• Report on asset condition using the company's asset management system.
• Support Asset Engineers with maintenance priorities and technical work scopes.
• Monitor planned/reactive maintenance and attend scheme hand-backs.
• Fulfil Building Surveyor duties under CDM.

Requirements

• HND / HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Proven experience in building condition surveying.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM, and statutory maintenance requirements.
• Rail knowledge including track safety and possessions regime.
• Valid DBS, PTS, and STE5 competencies from Day One.
• Strong IT and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
