Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is supporting a well-established surveying consultancy in recruiting a Building Surveyor for their team in Bury St Edmunds. The role focuses on education-sector projects, refurbishment work and capital programmes in school environments.

The successful candidate will deliver condition surveys and reports, support feasibility studies and manage projects from planning through to completion with regular client liaison and contract administration support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Building Surveying within a consultancy environment.
• Experience carrying out condition surveys and producing reports.
• Understanding of project delivery and contract administration.
• Knowledge of building regulations and construction processes.
• Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• Working towards or keen to achieve MRICS or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

Our client is a well-established and growing multi-disciplined surveying consultancy who are currently seeking a proactive and ambitious Building Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Bury St Edmunds. They deliver a diverse range of projects across the education sector, including refurbishment and capital works programmes within school environments.

This consultancy is a trusted partner to academy trusts nationwide, offering services including building surveying, estates strategy planning, energy consultancy and funding support.

Building Surveyor Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a mix of professional and project-led services across education sector portfolios. This will include undertaking condition surveys, producing detailed reports and supporting feasibility studies to assess project viability.

You will be involved in managing projects from initial planning stages through to completion, including supporting contract administration, overseeing programmes and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role will involve regular client interaction, working closely with academies and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of estate improvement works.
