We are looking for a reliable and skilled Building Services Technicianto join our facilities team. This role is responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our site operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest engineering standards.

You will play a key part in maintaining equipment, supporting operational events, and assisting in the oversight of subcontractor activities.

As a Building Services Technician you'll:

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and inspections of site areas and plant rooms.
• Support safe working practices in line with Sodexo\'s engineering standards and statutory requirements.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs within technical capability.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Site Lead, Helpdesk, and end users to prioritise maintenance tasks.
• Supervise or escort subcontractors as required, ensuring compliance with site rules and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Participate in escalation response during emergencies, including out-of-hours support if required.
• Undertake relevant training to maintain and develop technical competency.
• Contribute to sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting of maintenance work and resource usage.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and contractors.

What we\'re looking for

• Electrical or Mechanical qualification (Level 2 or equivalent).
• Legionella Awareness training.
• Minimum 2 years\' experience in a maintenance or engineering environment.
• Practical knowledge of general maintenance, compliance, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to work independently and safely within defined procedures.
• IT literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of Helpdesk and work order systems.
