Overview Of Role

Our Estate Facilities and Scientific Services team are recruiting for a Building Services Engineer with Mechanical/Electrical bias to join our site facilities team, on a full time basis, contributing to the delivery of world–leading scientific research.

The main duties will involve the planned preventive maintenance and repairs of a variety of systems. The candidate will also complete a wide variety of multi–skill building services tasks as required.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and repairs of a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Complete a wide range of multi–skill building services tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent.
  • Good relevant experience in a post–apprenticeship role.
  • Basic BMS experience is preferable; training can be provided to support developing knowledge in these areas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Broad range of mechanical or electrical knowledge and experience; good communication skills and the ability to make sound judgments and approach tasks logically.
Benefits and Salary

Permanent full–time position of 37 hours per week. Salary up to GBP26,573 per annum.
