An international engineering organization is seeking a Building Services Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) for a contract role focused on renewable energy projects. Qualifications

  • Possession of CSCS / CCNSG card.

Position

Building Services Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical)

Location: East Anglia

Rate: £400 - £450 per day, outside IR35

Start date: ASAP / November 2025 - 4 months contract.

Our client is an international engineering & construction organisation with strong pipelines in the major renewable energy and power sectors, across the UK.

About the Role

We are looking for an Engineer - Building Services (Electrical biased) who will be responsible for the monitoring and coordination of site teams regarding the design, specification and installation of building services and equipment for a major energy construction project. Services will include HVAC, security systems, fire systems, lighting, electrical distribution boards, water systems etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the design team on the coordination of services within the overall building design & handover.
  • Oversee and supervise the work of the subcontractors on site, ensuring all quality and performance standards are met.
  • Perform the role of Clerk of Works and Engineer on a large renewable energy construction project.
  • Support the Site Manager and installation team with technical advice of building services installation, and provide a snagging list when required.
  • Ensure that relevant work documentation (RAMS, ITP's etc) are in place and approved prior to works commencing, and ensure that they are implemented throughout the project.
  • Ensure all site works meet HSE standards.
  • Manage TQ's with subcontractors and ensure responses are provided within the contractual period of reply.
Requirements
  • 5+ years’ experience in UK Building service installation and commissioning specifically in security systems, fire systems, lighting, LV electrical distribution boards, hot/cold water systems, HVAC etc.
  • Qualification: NVQ in Building Services or HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • CSCS / CCNSG card.
