Job summary

Redfish Solutions is seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to act as the Landlord's site-based representative on a commercial office refurbishment and EPC improvement project in Reigate. The role involves monitoring MEP works on site, reporting to Landlord's London Head Office, and coordinating with project teams.

The ideal candidate has around 5 years' UK Building Services / MEP experience, with refurbishment or EPC experience, and strong communication and organisational skills to

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day MEP works, progress and quality on site.
• Review works against drawings and specifications.
• Identify delays, risks coordination issues and potential additional works.
• Liaise with contractors and project consultants.
• Maintain photographic records and provide daily and weekly progress reports.
• Attend relevant site meetings and follow up outstanding actions.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging and handover.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Building Services Engineer to act as the Landlord's site-based representative on a commercial office refurbishment and EPC improvement project in Reigate.

The role will involve monitoring MEP works on site, following progress and quality, identifying issues early and reporting directly to the Landlord's London Head Office.

The project has separately appointed Project Management, Contract Administration, MEP Consultancy and Clerk of Works teams.

The Role

• Monitor day-to-day MEP works, progress and quality on site
• Review works against drawings and specifications
• Identify delays, risks coordination issues and potential additional works
• Liaise with contractors and project consultants
• Maintain photographic records and provide dailiy and weekly progress reports
• Attend relevant site meetings and follow up outstanding actions
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging and handover

The Building Services Engineer will act as the Landlord's representative but will not have authority to approve variations, additional costs, changes in scope or extensions of time.

We're Looking For

• Around 5 years' relevant UK Building Services / MEP experience
• Commercial construction or refurbishment experience, preferably including EPC improvement works
• Good practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Relevant engineering, building services or technical qualification, or equivalent practical experience
