Job summary

WR HVAC | M&E is seeking a Building Services Design Engineer in Manchester to support commercial air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical projects from concept through detailed design and delivery.

The role involves hands-on design work, coordination with PMs and site teams, and contributing to value engineering. This position offers a clear path for progression within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Services, Mechanical or HVAC Design.
• Strong understanding of Air conditioning, VRF/VRV, Ventilation and mechanical building services.
• Confident producing technical drawings and calculations.
• Experience with AutoCAD and ideally Revit.
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical and HVAC designs for commercial projects.

• Size and select air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical plant.

We're recruiting a Building Services Design Engineer for a growing specialist HVAC and mechanical contractor based in Manchester.

This is a hands-on design role supporting commercial air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical projects from initial concept through to detailed design and project delivery.

The Role

• Produce mechanical and HVAC designs for commercial projects
• Carry out heat loss / heat gain calculations
• Size and select air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical plant
• Produce drawings, schematics and technical specifications
• Coordinate designs with project managers, estimators and site teams
• Review consultant drawings and client requirements

The Candidate
