As Building Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all fire and building safety duties in our high rise and/or higher risk residential buildings are effectively and robustly carried out. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will develop plans for the delivery of fire safety work and services in high risk buildings and ensure these buildings are managed and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the Building Safety Act.
You will also be responsible for the development of a comprehensive digital records system which is used as the basis for safety cases and demonstrating building compliance and that the golden thread principle is applied and BIM adopted as far as possible.
With a relevant degree or substantial experience in a similar role, you will be a member of a professional body such as IOSH, RICS, CIOB, RIBA, CIBSE or IFSM and have a Health and Safety and/or Fire qualification. You will also need substantial and up to date knowledge of the current housing related legislation of compliance work streams and demonstrable experience of managing a compliance or health and safety related service for residential buildings.
You will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the natural ability to network and build effective relationships within the departmental team(s) and with key stakeholders across the organisation. The ability to be able to travel from site to site on a regular basis is also essential.
In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits and a flexi scheme. You'll also be working out of purpose‑built offices that form part of the award‑winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes' walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
