A community-focused organization in the UK seeks a Building Safety Compliance Manager to ensure high safety standards across their buildings. The role requires extensive knowledge of building safety legislation and proactive management of compliance processes. Ideal candidates will have organizational skills and experience in building safety across design, construction, and occupation stages. The position offers a supportive work environment and competitive benefits, including holiday, pension contributions, and life assurance.
We're looking for an experienced Building Safety Compliance Manager to join our Building Safety team and help ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance across our portfolio of higher-risk buildings (HRBs). This is a key role requiring in-depth knowledge of building safety legislation and regulatory processes throughout the lifecycle of HRBs, from design and construction to occupation. You'll manage handover processes, support Safety Case Reports, contribute to Gateway submissions, and maintain the Golden Thread of Information. Working collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and the Building Safety Regulator, you'll play a vital part in delivering safe, compliant homes and transparent building safety management. You will be required to attend the office a minimum of days week for meetings and collaboration.
On a day-to-day basis, you'll manage the handover process for new build HRBs, ensuring all documentation and information is collated for registration with the Building Safety Regulator. You'll review design and construction stage information for compliance, assist in creating Safety Case Reports, and support Building Assessment Certificate applications. You'll contribute to Gateway submissions, maintain accurate building safety data, and ensure robust processes are in place for managing HRBs during occupation. You'll also work closely with consultants to assure quality, collaborate with internal teams to embed building safety practices, and help maintain Peabody's Golden Thread of Information.
