Overview

Job Opportunity: Building Safety Co-ordinator – Building Services & Maintenance

Client: Southern Housing

Location: Fleet House, Clerkenwell Road, London; and Croydon, Maidstone, Sittingbourne (Hybrid options available)

Contract: Temporary, 26 weeks, Full-time (35 hrs/week)

Start Date: 17 November 2025

Rate: PAYE £17.38/hr | Umbrella/Ltd £22.17/hr

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in delivering fire and building safety management plans.
  • Manage safety actions via Keystone, Riskhub, Apex, CRM, MRI, and Customer Dynamics.
  • Respond to enquiries and coordinate surveys, inspections, and remedial actions.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling, minute-taking, and communications.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Monitor contracts, raise work orders, and manage financial records.
  • Support audits, incident reporting, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide training and guidance on safety policies and systems.
  • Attend sites as needed to support operational delivery.
What You’ll Bring
  • Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent (or willingness to work towards).
  • Experience in Health & Safety, Auditing, or Compliance.
  • Strong administrative and IT skills (Microsoft Office, reporting tools).
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Creative problem-solving and sound judgement.
  • Willingness to travel to Croydon, Farringdon, and Maidstone.
