A professional services construction consultancy is seeking a Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) in England. The role involves ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, guiding designers, and working on a variety of projects. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications, experience in building control, and a solid understanding of the Building Regulations. The position offers competitive remuneration of £50k-£65k, along with benefits including pension and healthcare, while allowing for remote work with some mandatory travel.
Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) - Building Control required to join a professional services construction consultancy, renowned for its strong reputation in the commercial sector. They undertake a wide range of projects involving various building types. Their diverse portfolio includes developments in distribution and industrial sectors, cinemas, hotels, leisure facilities, retail units, residential schemes and conservation, refurbishment and regeneration projects.
You will work closely with architects and technicians, providing support and assistance in fulfilling and documenting their responsibilities as designers and principal designers under the revised Building Regulations.
A relevant qualification such as an HNC, HND, or a degree in a construction-related field, building control or building inspector field. Accreditation with organisations RICS or CABE is also highly beneficial.
This role will suit someone who has experience within building control or as a Building Inspector with experience navigating building regulations and is interested in taking on or has any experience in a BRPD role.
Knowledge and understanding of the Building Regulations as amended by the Building Safety Act 2022 is essential.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Whilst this is a remote working from home role, there will be occasional requirements to be in London, so applicants should be based within two hours' travel distance.
The company are paying £50k-£65k including pension, life assurance and healthcare plus full training and development depending on experience.
