BUILDING MANAGER - COMMERCIAL

💸Salary: upto £35,000
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a prestigious multi-tenanted commercial property. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional building management services, aligning with client strategies and operational platforms to ensure the highest standards of service, safety, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the day-to-day running and maintenance of the building, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
- Lead, supervise, and develop on-site staff and contractors to achieve and maintain outstanding standards.
- Maintain strong occupier relationships, ensuring a deep understanding of tenants\' professional cultures, operational needs, and expectations.
- Oversee hard and soft service contractors, ensuring full compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and best practices.
- Manage service charge budgets, reporting and forecasting accurately in line with client requirements.
- Deliver and monitor fit-out projects, retendering processes, and planned maintenance programmes.
- Drive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives in line with corporate sustainability goals.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, police, and community groups.
- Lead recruitment, appraisals, and development of team members to foster a positive and high-performing culture.
- Uphold a strong commitment to customer service excellence through proactive communication and problem-solving.
About You
- Proven experience managing multi-tenanted commercial buildings or similar environments.
- Strong background in contractor management (hard and soft services).
- Demonstrable experience with service charge budgeting, project delivery, and retendering.
- Knowledge and practical experience in ESG initiatives and sustainability reporting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to health & safety, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
