Job description
Maintenance & Facility Supervisor

Do you have at least 3 years of diesel technical experience and leadership experience? Do you enjoy leading and developing a team as well as assisting CDL drivers when in need, while take pride in participating in and ensuring that company equipment is maintained and repaired so as to be in the best and safest condition possible? Then apply today! Our maintenance team focuses on servicing and fixing the local fleet of trucks and trailers in a short turnaround time. Duties performed by the team include basic servicing to maintain the equipment, performing brake jobs, doing trailer repairs, clutch adjustments and repairs, cooling system repairs, and more. In addition, this position will oversee facility needs; some will require hands‑on work, while others will be coordinating with outside companies.

Shift

Mon - Fri; averaging 50-55 hours/week, typically day hours, other hours could be needed as required by business need

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train and mentor team
  • Developing a system for PM's and tracking work orders, scheduling activities, and analyzing performance.
  • Repairing and maintenance of fleet vehicles, ensuring meets safety and performance requirements.
  • Servicing of fleet vehicle per required schedules
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues and make necessary repairs, adjustments or replacements.
  • Performing roadside repairs and adjustments
  • Performing routine housekeeping duties to ensure working location and equipment are in order and not pose safety hazards
  • Ensuring the safety devices on vehicles are in good order
  • Performing facility duties as necessary
  • Other duties as necessary
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100lbs
  • Regularly performing work requiring standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas
Other Requirements
  • 3 years of experience performing repair and maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engine vehicles, equipment and related components is required
  • Some leadership experience is strongly desired
  • Ability to use repair manuals, online services, wiring (electrical) diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure.
  • Valid driver's license, CDL , for roadside assistance help and to test drive equipment as necessary
  • Good driving record
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks
