Job Description

Position: Fabric Engineer
Sites: EX, TQ
Salary: £32-36k depending on experience

Are you a Building Fabric Engineer looking for a new exciting role working in around Bristol? Do you have either a Carpentry or Plumbing qualification with other trade skills such as painting, patch plastering, tiling? If so, this role could be great for you.

Working for one of the region’s leading Facilities Services providers you will be part of a team of Building Fabric Engineers covering planned and reactive maintenance as well as small and minor works to commercial buildings in Exeter and Torquay. Sites will include Offices, Leisure Centres and Schools.

Responsibilities
  • Planned and Reactive Maintenance such as fixing leaks, doors, locks, and making good of repair areas.
  • Small and Minor works projects – refurbishments to rooms and offices; replacing like-for-like doors, locks, sinks, basins, toilets; floor upgrades.
Qualifications
  • Qualified trades person with City and Guilds or equivalent in Carpentry or Plumbing.
  • Good skills with other trades and DITY tasks.
  • Open to time‑served trades people and general builders looking to get into the maintenance industry.
  • Previous multi‑skilled trades works essential; no training will be given to start, development of skills will be offered once settled and passed probation.
