Your Role: Make an Impact Through Professional Expertise

As a Registered Building Inspector (RBI Class 2A or above), you'll carry out core Building Control duties within your accreditation scope, helping ensure the safety, quality and compliance of construction work across the city.

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake site inspections and plan assessments, ensuring works comply with Building Regulations and guidance.
  • Provide clear, professional decisions to clients, agents, developers and contractors.
  • Make sound technical judgements and record outcomes in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Work with autonomy appropriate to your RBI Class level, with support available from senior colleagues.
  • Be part of a team culture focused on continuous improvement, learning, and public service.
  • Have the opportunity to work towards higher RBI classes under supervision if desired.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a confident, qualified Registered Building Inspector (RBI) at Class 2A or above, who brings:

  • Solid experience in Building Control work including site inspection and plan assessment.
